Nitesh holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Bombay). He received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from University of Pune.

He is passionate about Nature and committed to reducing environmental footprint of chemical industry. He is the Co-Founder & Director of Newreka Green-Synth Technologies Pvt. Ltd., which is a for-profit organization engaged in developing, scaling-up & commercializing Green Chemistry solutions.

His technical expertise includes process development, scale-up and technology implementation at commercial scales. He also has expertise in setting up recycle loops in plant i.e. recycle of effluent streams back in the process for unit processes like Reduction, Nitration, Diazotization-Hydrolysis, etc.

His professional experience includes implementing more than 500 commercial batches with Newreka Reduction Technology, in more than 25 different products. He has guided more than 2000 laboratory experiments for bench scale development of Green Chemistry based process technologies for more than 75 different molecules. Currently, his key accountability involves marketing Newreka’s knowledge-based Green Chemistry technologies in Indian & International markets.

He is also the Co-Founder & Director of Green ChemisTree Foundation (GCF), which is a registered Not-For-Profit Organization, engaged in expanding awareness about Green Chemistry and Engineering (GC&E) amongst all stakeholders of chemical industry through diverse initiatives. He serves as a member of the Advisory Board of International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre (ISC3), Germany.

Through GCF’s activities, Nitesh, along with his team of like-minded have extensively contributed in expanding awareness of Green Chemistry’s potential and practices amongst various stakeholders including Govt. bodies and State Pollution Control Boards.

Nitesh is also passionate about “Enviropreneurship” and addresses every year hundreds of chemical engineers & chemistry students by sharing his own journey as an Enviropreneur and encourages students to pursue enviropreneurship as an opportunity to develop innovative solutions and technologies for resolving environmental challenges and thereby serve our Planet and society at-large.
